Duo Arcos

The partnership between Italian harpist Paola Baron and Brazilian violinist Edgar Leite, Duo Arcos, is an expression of talent and dedication in chamber music. Since 2016, they enchant audiences around the world with their passion for art and musical synergy.

Paola has a solid musical background, having graduated from the Jacopo Tomadini Conservatory in Udine, Italy, and obtained a master’s degree from the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria. Her Ph.D. in Musicology from the UNESP Institute of Arts in São Paulo explored deeply the works of Luciano Berio and Flo Menezes, enriching her experience as a musician and scholar. In addition to her achievements, Paola shares her knowledge as a harp professor at EMESP and in various music festivals and events.

Edgar, on the other hand, has built an impressive career as a violinist, standing out in concert halls in Brazil and the United States. A bachelor’s graduate from UNESP and with a master’s degree from Lynn University, Edgar is recognized for his technical ability and musical expressiveness. Besides being a musician, he is a dedicated educator, teaching at renowned institutions in both countries.

As members of the São Paulo Municipal Symphony Orchestra and professors, Paola and Edgar shape the next generation of musicians with their commitment to musical excellence. Duo Arcos is a source of inspiration that demonstrates the transformative power of music and its ability to unite people across borders.
