Emmanuele Baldini

Emmanuele Baldini was born in Trieste, Italy, surrounded by music. After studies in his hometown with Bruno Polli, Baldini furthered his violin training in Geneva with Corrado Romano, in Salzburg and Berlin with Ruggiero Ricci, and receiving conducting classes from Isaac Karabtchevsky and Frank Shipway. From an early age, Baldini garnered prizes from countless international competitions, performing as soloist or recitalist across the globe. He has performed in all the major European concert halls, in Japan, USA, Australia, China and in Latin America and especially in Brazil, where he has made his home since 2005.

He recorded more than 30 recordings to his name. Baldini’s musical collaborations include countless internationally renowned artists, and the late Maestro Claudio Abbado wrote in a letter of Baldini: “I am impressed by both his deep musicality and technical level.” He has been concertmaster of the Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Orchestra del Teatro “Guiseppe Verdi” di Trieste, and since 2005 has been concertmaster of the Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo (OSESP), Brazil.

Baldini´s conducting highlights include concerts at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the Teatro del Sodre in Montevideo, and appearances with the principal orchestras of Latin America. From 2017 to 2020 he was the musical and artistic director of the Orquesta de Cámara de Valdivia, in Chile.
