Uniting late Baroque and European Romanticism with the Korean musical tradition, the duo brings a rare formation to the chamber music scene: piano and bass trombone.
Founded on the proposal of an encounter between East and West, The Heritage Duo brings together works by Johann Immanuel Müller, Robert Schumann, Gabriel Fauré, Francisco Braga and Gustav Mahler, complemented by two arrangements signed by the performers themselves: Arirang, from Korean folk tradition, transcribed by Lee, and Fate, by Sergei Rachmaninoff, in Milling’s version.
Born in Seoul, Sin Ae Lee won her first national prize at the age of seven and built an international career in Latin America, with training at Faculdade Santa Marcelina and a central role at the Fundación Ópera Panamá. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and an artist of the Edwards Instrument Company, Darrin C. Milling has premiered concertos written especially for him across multiple continents and was decorated in 2014 with the Carlos Gomes Medal of Merit, with the title of Commendador.
