Sheila Minatti
Singer, composer, and researcher, Sheila Minatti built her musical foundation upon the classical repertoire, yet it was her profound connection to the roots of Brazilian popular music that shaped the path of her artistic and academic pursuits. Holding a Doctorate in Vocal Performance from the São Paulo State University (UNESP), she developed an extensive study on the characteristics of the Brazilian Portuguese language in singing, exploring its expressive nuances and expanding the boundaries between musical styles.
As a performer, she stands out for her refined aesthetic sensibility and interpretative depth, with a particular focus on the classical repertoire sung in Brazilian Portuguese. She has performed at the Festival de Inverno de Campos do Jordão, alongside the Conservatório de Tatuí Orchestra, and appeared as a crossover singer in the Tucca Aprendiz de Maestro concert series, held at Sala São Paulo under the baton of Maestro João Mauricio Galindo.
During the pandemic period, she began to formalize her original artistic projects, consolidating her role as a composer and performer. Her songs are born from a desire to foster empathy and emotional connection, transforming human experiences into subtle “breaths of lightness,” where music and words intertwine in a poetics of sensitivity and humanity.
