Ana Flávia Frazão

Critical and popular success in various countries where she performs, Ana Flávia Frazão is dedicated to chamber music, among other varied formations, and has been constantly establishing herself in the Brazilian scene for her refined and highly expressive touch.

Originally from Goiânia, she graduated from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), completed her master’s and doctoral studies with the highest honors at the Karlsruhe University of Music in Germany, where she lived for eight years. Highly active, she performs in major concert halls across Brazil—such as Sala Cecília Meireles (Rio de Janeiro), Fundação Maria Luisa e Oscar Americano (São Paulo), Instituto Cultural Sérgio Magnani (Belo Horizonte), and Theatro São Pedro (Porto Alegre)—as well as internationally, including Teatro Argentino de La Plata (Buenos Aires) and Teatro Solís (Montevideo).

Ana Flávia Frazão won the National JK Competition held in Brasília in 1992 and achieved first place in the Baroque Hall Concert Series in Kyoto, Japan, with the Augarten Trio, in 2001. For her artistic contributions in Goiás, she was named one of the state’s women of reference by the newspaper O Popular and was honored with a plaque awarded by the Industry Social Service (Sesi).

In 2014, she received the Buritis Trophy in the music category from the Municipal Council of Culture of the City of Goiânia. The following year, she was awarded the “Cultural Merit of the Year — 2015” diploma by the State Council of Culture of the Government of Goiás for her contributions to Goiás’s culture in the field of music.
