Maycon Ananias

Maycon Ananias is a prominent composer, music producer, and arranger in the music industry. His career is marked by significant achievements, such as a nomination for the Latin Grammy in 2012 in the “Song of the Year” category and three nominations for the Brazilian Music Award. In collaboration with Maria Gadú, he won the Best Soundtrack award at LABRFF in 2012 for the film “Teus Olhos Meus,” directed by Caio Soh.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various notable artists, including Maria Gadú, Milton Nascimento, Tiago Iorc, Jesse Harris, and Norah Jones, both on stage and in studios. Since 2016, he has expanded his productions beyond Brazil, recording with orchestras in locations such as St. Petersburg, Russia, and Prague, Czech Republic.

Maycon has an impressive repertoire of 10 films, including “Real, o plano por trás da história,” “Teus Olhos Meus,” “Jaime Lerner, uma história de sonhos,” “Lamento,” and “Beautiful Gun” (Canada). He also composed the soundtrack for the film “O Tempo e o Vento”, directed by Jayme Monjardim. Additionally, he excelled in creating music for shows and special events, such as the opening ceremony of the 2016 Paralympic Games, the opera “Da Serra da Capivara,” and the concert “Das Cinzas ao Renascimento” by the State University of Londrina Symphony Orchestra in 2017.

In 2019/2020, he composed the soundtrack for the film “Lamento,” directed by Diego Lopes and Claudio Bittencourt, recording with the St. Petersburg Orchestra. He was also responsible for the soundtrack of the series “Em Busca de Kardec” on the Prime Box Brasil channel and the short film “Whispering,” which was selected for some of the most prestigious sci-fi festivals in the world.
