Kaetano
Born in the countryside of São Paulo, Kaetano began playing the guitar at the age of ten, teaching himself by ear and soon discovering a passion for composition. Early success in music festivals led him to move to the state capital, where his professional career took shape.
A prolific composer of soundtracks, he created themes for television productions such as Meu Pé de Laranja Lima (Band), Cabocla, Sinhá Moça, and Paraíso (TV Globo). His songs have been performed by renowned Brazilian artists including Rolando Boldrin, Chico César, Oswaldo Montenegro, Fernanda Porto, Renato Teixeira, and Chico Teixeira. Over the years, he has collaborated with outstanding musicians such as Bozzo Barretti, Marcelo Barbosa, Juno Andrade, and Zé Rodrix.
Kaetano’s versatility extends to children’s music, a field in which he developed original projects that resulted in songs recorded by Xuxa and in hand-embroidered musical books such as Menino Sonhador and A Menina das Bonecas e a Senhora do Portão.
During the pandemic, he composed the soundtrack for a 12-episode documentary series produced by SESC and also served as music director for the show Homenagem a Adoniran Barbosa at the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, as well as for the TV program Bem, Amigos! (SporTV).
His work is defined by melodic sensitivity, technical refinement, and a musical language that moves naturally between popular and instrumental expression.
