Danieli Longo

Graduated from the École Normale de Musique de Paris and the Conservatoire National de Musique de Strasbourg, she is active as a pianist, professor, and researcher. Awarded in major Brazilian competitions, including the Arnaldo Estrela National Piano Competition and the Ribeirão Preto National Piano Competition, she studied with Homero de Magalhães, Paulo Giovanini, and Beatriz Balzi. In France, she worked with Victoria Melki, Claudio Chaiquin, and Aquiles Delle-Vigne, and attended the advanced piano interpretation class of Dominique Merlet at the CNSMD in Paris. She has also participated in masterclasses with Peter Schmallfuss and Aldo Ciccolini, and was invited to the Festival Flaine Musique.

She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Brazil and internationally, including in Argentina, France, Hungary, and Italy. As a soloist, she has appeared with the Blumenau Chamber Orchestra, the Paraná Symphony Orchestra, and the Barra Mansa Symphony Orchestra, with a highlight appearance at the Festival Música Nova. In 2012 and 2013, she toured Europe, performing at the prestigious Sala Piatti in Bergamo and the historic Teatro Rossini-Lugo in Ravenna, in a humanitarian project supported by Brazil’s Ministry of Culture. She is also active as a juror and masterclass instructor in competitions such as the Edna Bassetti Habith Piano Competition and the WorldVision Music Contest.

She holds a Master’s and a Doctoral degree from the University of São Paulo (USP) and specializes in early 20th-century French music. Her research, supported by FAPESP, focuses on the historical context in the works of Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. She is the author of books published by AnnaBlume/FAPESP and Alameda/FAPESP, as well as articles in leading journals and conference proceedings in Brazil and abroad. She has conducted research residencies at institutions such as the Bibliothèque nationale de France, IRCAM, and the Sorbonne. She is also a speaker at institutions such as SESC-SP, a scientific editor of the Dezède database (CNRS), and, since 2014, a professor of piano and chamber music at the São Paulo State University (UNESP).
