Daniel Gonçalves is a Brazilian pianist recognized for his work as a collaborative pianist, chamber musician, and vocal coach. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from São Paulo State University (UNESP) and began his piano studies at the age of 13, later training with distinguished teachers and pianists in Brazil and abroad. Throughout his career, he has received several awards in national piano and chamber music competitions and has participated in major festivals and masterclasses with leading musicians.

His career includes performances at important theaters and concert halls throughout Brazil, as well as appearances in the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, and Hungary. As a collaborative pianist, he regularly takes part in music festivals, singing competitions, and opera productions, having worked at Theatro São Pedro, with Cia. Ópera São Paulo, and, since 2009, at the Eleazar de Carvalho Festival in Fortaleza. In 2010, he appeared as soloist in the world premiere recording of Jean Goldenbaum’s Sinfonia do Bem and received a full scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree in accompaniment for singers at the institution now known as the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

During his studies in the United Kingdom, he received the institution’s Accompanist of the Year Award in 2011 and the Leonard Hancock Award in 2012. Since 2013, he has served as pianist for the Maria Callas Singing Competition and the Belém Opera Festival, while maintaining an active schedule of recitals and educational projects focused on the training of young singers. Since 2012, he has also performed regularly in duo with soprano Carmen Monarcha.
