Eliomar Landim

Eliomar Landim is a Brazilian accordionist, composer, arranger, and teacher, whose passion for music was inspired by his father from an early age. Born in the countryside of São Paulo, he chose the accordion as his main means of expression at the age of 7. With classical training at the Beethoven Musical Conservatory in São Paulo, and studies under the tutelage of masters like Toninho Ferragutti and Emanuele Rastelli, Landim stands out for his virtuosity and versatility in classical and contemporary repertoires.

In his formative work, Eliomar dedicated himself to transcribing and adapting classical music pieces for the accordion. His albums feature transcriptions, adaptations, and arrangements made by him for the instrument, covering compositions from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods. Furthermore, his original work, which includes the ” Concerto para Acordeon e Orquestra Nº 1 em Bm”, reveals his talent in composition, reflecting influences from Astor Piazzolla and Toninho Ferragutti.

Landim gained national prominence on the “Prelúdio” program of TV Cultura, being the only accordionist to reach the final stages of the competition, showcasing his exceptional talent. As a teacher, he shares his knowledge in both classical and popular accordion, conducting classes and workshops at prestigious institutions in Brazil and around the world through distance education.

Landim not only perpetuates the rich tradition of the accordion in Brazil but also innovates, elevating the instrument to new heights in classical music.
