Pablo Marquine

Pablo Marquine is a distinguished pianist, composer, and musicologist specializing in Brazilian music and modernism. He began his musical studies at the Escola de Música de Brasília (CEP-EMB) and later earned Bachelor’s degrees in Composition and Classical Piano from the University of Brasília. His academic and performance career includes appearances as a soloist at major festivals and collaborations in chamber music, most notably with the Duo Brasiliano.

Marquine’s research focuses on the works of composer Claudio Santoro, which led him to pursue a Master’s degree in Musicology and a Ph.D. in Historical Musicology from the University of Florida. His doctoral dissertation examines Brazilian modernism and the influence of the German avant-garde on Santoro’s music. He has presented his research at international conferences and published critical editions of Santoro’s piano works.
