Corbani: Tarde de Outono & Other Songs

The violinist Claudio Cruz and the pianist Olga Kopylova present another chapter of their celebrated partnership, with the album “CORBANI: TARDE DE OUTONO & OTHER SONGS“, where they perform unpublished works by the composer Luis Corbani.

Cruz and Kopylova have remarkable musical backgrounds in various projects as soloists, yet they sublime as a duo – as in the recordings of the complete sonatas for violin and piano by Mozart: In two volumes already released, the duo surpassed the mark of more than 10M streams – a remarkable feat in the classical music scene.

In embarking on this project with original works by the São Paulo composer, they reveal a work of high maturity, full of nuances, subtlety, and lyricism. In the themes inspired by the poetry of Cecilia Meireles, “Pensamento” and “Noite“, the duo’s impeccable interpretation leads the listener to the magnitude of the great melodies. The pieces intertwine jovial harmonies with Brazilian rhythms, but above all, they invite us to witness the fine-tuned dialogue of two unique artists and their unconditional love for music.
