In works written for violin and piano, the Greek-Brazilian composer presents compositions marked by the prominence of melody and a post-Romantic aesthetic approach.
Composer, poet and audio engineer with four decades of artistic experience, Pedro Eleftheriou developed a distinctive creative style — a synthesis of his multifaceted artistic background. In TWO HORIZONS, poetry serves as the genesis for each piece: the intimate writing favors melodic contrasts between the instruments, which alternate in distinct and complementary voices.
The album is brought to life by the interpretations of Emmanuele Baldini, concertmaster of the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra (OSESP) since 2005, and Mariana Virgilli, pianist and faculty member at the Dramatic and Musical Conservatory of Tatuí. The duo delivers vivid and intense performances, in fluid dialogue and with precise timing, always at the service of the compositions.
