Endless Search

From the first track to the last, the ENDLESS SEARCH album brings the listener the timeless experience of improvised music. Rodrigo Bragança — guitarist, composer, music producer, teacher, writer — has long invited the public to this unique moment arena. This instant is immortalized in a recording capable of capturing its nuances, which thus reaches the listener’s intimate register, the memory.

In ENDLESS SEARCH, the artist composes in real time not just for the guitar. He also turns to other expressive ways that become his instruments, such as delay, reverbtremolo, pitch shifter and ring modulator. Far from mere effects for the connoisseur to recognize, they merge with the musical language. This is immediately demonstrated by the dialogues that make reverse delay part of the textural weave in Nimbus Flower and the echoes that, as in a hall of mirrors, thicken the sonic tissue of Tourmaline.

Bragança is dedicated to communication between music and other languages. He associates his memories of a David Lynch classic, Lost Highway, with the timbre that in Distant Fog integrates the environment. In turn, the improvisations Under the WaterExploration and Submersion dialogue with the extramusical, the underwater world. In the title track, as in the other compositions, it is above all the sound art itself that moves the creation.
