In this fourth album, the collective of female composers navigates sophisticated soundscapes, from lyricism to contemporary pulse, blending the rigor of written music with creative freedom.
Under the artistic direction of composer João Marcondes, the group formed by Natália Roschel, Shaya Lambert, Angie Lopez, Jade Feijó, Yasmin Mendes, Adria Pencak, Giovanna Conde, Andréia Zanella, and Gabriela Pacheco, presents eleven original, previously unreleased works, brilliantly interpreted by an instrumental quintet composed of Ney Vasconcelos on double bass, Marialbi Trisolio on cello, Ricardo Barbosa on oboe, and Ovanir Buosi on clarinet—members of the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra (OSESP)—and Renato Raul on vibraphone, a musician active at the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo.
OPUS 4 FOR VIBRAPHONE, DOUBLE BASS, CELLO, OBOE AND CLARINET invites the listener to a deeper dive into the contemporary classical music scene in Brazil, revealing the magnificent work being developed by this new generation of talented composers.
