Bringing works by Italian composers Davide Piero Runcini and Simone Boi, and Brazilians Heitor Villa-Lobos and Antonio Carlos Gomes, the acclaimed Canadian quartet Vaughan String Quartet presents their first album, MOSAICO.

Formed by Brazilian couple Vladimir Rufino (violin) and Fabiola Amorim (viola), and by the Italians Mettia Berrini (Violin) and Silvia Buttiglione (Cello), the quartet connects in vivid and audacious interpretations. The album features a fusion of different cultures, contrasting lyrical and delicate pieces, with works of expression and intense rhythms, inspired by folklore and the tradition of the countries of origin.

Acclaimed by the press for its “youthful energy, maturity, invigorating execution and captivating interpretations”, the Vaughan String Quartet is one of the most active chamber musical groups in Canada, collecting performances in the country’s most prestigious theaters and auditoriums.
