In newly written works for this rare instrumental trio, the collective of young composers revisits the formation explored by Claude Debussy in his celebrated sonata — one of the French composer’s final works.
Under the artistic direction of João Marcondes, the ten composers — Atala Bukas, Thi Romanelli, Victor Guilherme, Santiago Cabrera, Hett, Murillo Guimarães, Rafael Ronzoni, Gui Decourt, Tiago Dias and Gustavo Palma — explore the cyclic form and characteristic timbres of the formation, drawing on Debussy’s musical language as an aesthetic reference. The works deepen the contemporary chamber music repertoire dedicated to this instrumental ensemble.
Sole Yaya, harpist and faculty member at the Tom Jobim School of Music (EMESP) in São Paulo; Rogério Wolf, former principal flutist of the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra (OSESP) for over 25 years; and Peter Pas, violist of the OSESP, deliver performances of remarkable refinement, expression and connectivity.
