Comprised by Bruno Monteiro on piano, Diogo Maia on clarinet, Mauricio Biazzi on double bass, Nath Calan on vibraphone and drums, Nikolay Iliev on violin, Potiguara Menezes on guitar and Adonias Souza Jr. as sound engineer, Seis Com Casca is an instrumental group from São Paulo that strives to dispel the existing boundaries between classical and popular music.
They define themselves as a group who makes “chamber music without borders”, seeking to highlight the inventiveness of cohesive arrangements and charismatic interpretations. In addition to the classical background, the musicians have notable experiences in the field of popular music, with influences ranging from Astor Piazzolla and Radamés Gnattali to soundtracks of great films.
In NUM DIA, NO OUTRO – the group’s second album – they feature themes such as Two Kites by Tom Jobim; Noites Cariocas, by Jacob do Bandolim; The Tale of Victor Navorsky, by John Williams; Adiós Nonino and Milonga Del Angel by Astor Piazzolla, as well as a humorous interpretation of the Brazilian National Anthem, by Francisco Manuel da Silva.
