The Turn Of The Lights

THE TURN OF THE LIGHTS is the third album of Andre Matos’ solo career, and was recorded, mixed, and mastered by North American producer Brendan Duffey and Adriano Daga. The line-up features Andre on vocals, piano and keyboards, as well as Hugo Mariutti and Andre “Zaza” Hernandes on guitars, Bruno Ladislau on bass, and Rodrigo Silveira on drums.

Musically more progressive than the previous ones, the concept that permeates this album evokes the idea of illuminating something that has never been illuminated, revealing truths, faces and forms that have never been imagined. A suggestion that we are part of a whole, even though it is through our individualities that we find expression. Exploring deeper tones in the vocals and more atmospheric instrumental passages (as in Oversoul), the vocalist finds a balance between the more impetuous experiences of his first bands (Viper, Angra and Shaman), with a natural musical maturity. The album features 11 songs, where themes such as Course of Life and Unreplaceable stand out.
