Gregorian chants and Latin lyrics, featuring orchestral arrangements that highlight piano, synthesizers, accordion, and solo voices.
Released in 1995, UNIO MYSTICA is a musical suite with seven movements that articulate the austerity of Gregorian chant with contemporary sonic textures. Developed from Latin texts extracted from Christian liturgy and medieval alchemical treatises, the album proposes a journey of transformation – from raw matter (lead) to inner light (gold) – analogous to the alchemical process.
With the participation of musicians such as Oswaldinho do Acordeon and mezzo-soprano Adriana Mezzadri, Corciolli gives breath and silence fundamental roles in the work, making them structural elements of the musical narrative. It is in the melodic designs and hypnotic, timeless harmonies that the composer expands the symbolic dimension of the work, revealing meaning, depth, and mystery.
