Futura

Coming from different music universes, composer and keyboardist Corciolli and violinist Emmanuele Baldini – the concertmaster of São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra (OSESP) – meet in FUTURA, an album of convergences: The dialogues between the instruments are splendidly explored in twelve instrumental themes.

From the various orchestral layers to the electronic textures, the duo builds a unique narrative, expanding the boundaries of traditional classical school and ambient music. With this innovative creative perspective, they make room for three very personal interpretations of widely known pieces: Recuerdos de la Alhambra, by the Spanish composer Francisco Tárrega; Una Furtiva Lagrima, from the opera L’elisir d’amore, by the Italian Gaetano Donizetti and the second movement, Adagio Cantabile, from the Piano Sonata No. 8, Op. 13 “Pathétique”, by Ludwig van Beethoven. The repertoire is completed by nine original compositions by Corciolli.

With the participation of cellist Renato de Sá and singer Patricia Bastos (in the emblematic Deserts of Myself), FUTURA integrates and expands the artistic affinity of the musicians, in interpretations of deep synergy and lyricism.
